I found this in-depth look into the life of a Ninja on YouTube. Check out Ask a Ninja.

There's a stereotype out there that all ninjas do is flip out. The reality is that ninjas doing all sorts of work these days. This ninja also happens to be a doctor.

The picture is courtesy of a neat little site containing pictures of airline meals from many different airlines. The site also has a bit on airline meal history and pictures of crew meals as well as some old meals from the 50's and 60's.

I actually like airline food for the most part. The main meals are so-so at best, but the "sides" are pretty good. Everything is compartamentalized and it's sort of an adventure opening up all the little packets to peek inside. I find that fruit tastes better at lower air pressure.

I have a thing for animated movies and kiddish movies in general so my judgement may be hampered. Take a risk and check out the Iron Giant, a not-completely-hidden gem of an animated movie from 1999. It's directed by Brad Bird, the director of the Incredibles.

A well-put together burritos are no laughing matter. Nor is it easy to create a good "San Francisco" burrito, they type that is served in most Taquerias in the SF Bay Area. Here is a comprehensive wikipedia article on the topic.

But here follows my humble review of Taqueria Los Charros in downtown Mountain View, CA:

I lived in the South Bay for five years and unfortunately found this gem only 
in my last year.

Now that I live a block from the Mission District in SF, you'd think I could 
find plent of able replacements. Well, you'd be wrong. The burritos are great
- maybe not the best anywhere in the bay area, but some of the best. I love
the chorizo. On burritos alone, the place gets an 8 or 9. What is it about the
place that launches it up into rarefied air? A perfect 10? To get the true Los
Charros experience, you have to dine there.

There are the customers - an eclectic mix of Mexican, yuppie, collegial, and
whatever else. There's the obligatory soccer (futbol) game on TV. There's
the guy with a mustache that stretches for miles. The waitress who might not 
know your name, but will give you a wink of familiarity. And the decor and 
demeanor is laid back, even for a Taqueria.

The prices are pretty cheap too, as long as you stick to the burritos. The
tacos and tostadas are great as well. Not just a place for burritos.

Well, most of the other comics are a lot darker than this one, but equally funny or thought-provoking. There's also a good twisted sci-fi theme to many of the comics. More comics can be found at The Perry Bible Fellowship.

Less fun, for sure. I mean, we all know that unicorns don't exist.

I'm going to use the photoship defense if I ever get caught on camera perpetrating a crime. There's two varieties: "The cops photoshopped me in!" vs. "They photoshopped the bears with cannons out!"

This will no doubt come in very handy now that I'm working for myself. I can't splurge and eat out every day like I used too. Well, I guess it wasn't splurging if I did every day. Here's a pdf version of the menu and plan.

Seriously, I must spend some $500 a month on food, so it's my chief expense outside of rent. By following this menu, I can get that down to maybe $150 or so. I'll have to bake my own bread and tortillas, but it'll be worth it!

I read this book in high school, but I must say, I wasn't a big fan. It was forced reading, but I liked many other books I read in high school. I guess I never was filled with disillusionment or angst or whatever.
